Job description

Trillium Professional has a direct hire opportunity in Fayetteville, AR for a Design Engineering Manager. Relocation assistance is available.

Job duties:
-Responsible for aligning Design Engineering team with organizational goals.
-Provide the day-to-day management of the design engineering group.
-Uses a strong analytical approach to problem-solving and create cost effective solutions.Uses critical thinking and problem-solving skills to drive operational excellence.
-Completes all project assignments within established scope, budget, and schedule.
-Generates solid models for manufacturing tooling and fixtures along with detailed dimensioned drawings.
-Provides technical review, understanding, and recommendations of sketches, descriptions, and specifications provided by engineers.
-Develops prototypes for new equipment and fixture designs and executes testing on said prototypes, as necessary.
-Coordinate fabrication efforts with the Tool Room and Maintenance departments
-Leads and Collaborate on designs in a team environment, including formal design reviews
-Other tasks and project work, as assigned.

Qualifications
-Possess an Engineering Degree from an accredited university, Mechanical degree highly preferred.
-8-10+ years of hands-on relevant design experience, required.
-Design experience from concept to completion, required.
-Prior tool and die, product development, and/or fixture design experience, required
-Previous leadership experience leading technical design engineers, required.
-1000+ hours experience using 3D CAD software, Autodesk Inventor, or equivalent CAD software, required.
-Strong Familiarity with Machinery’s Handbook
-A strong understanding of manufacturing processes (milling, turning, welding, etc.) and their limitations, required.
-Demonstrated ability to interpret 2D mechanical drawings and generating creative solutions to unique design challenges.
-Willing to “roll up sleeves and do what needs to get done” to consistently deliver results.
