Supernova is seeking an NYC-based Design Engineering Intern to join Supernova.

In this role, you’ll lead and execute stunning visual designs across internal and client projects. We’re looking for someone who lives at the intersection of art, culture, and technology — a creative force who can move fast, experiment, and consistently deliver exceptional work.

What You’ll Do

• Command all visual design aspects for Supernova’s internal and client projects, from concept to execution.
• Lead web design, branding, and visual storytelling efforts, shaping the identity of groundbreaking brands and experiences.
• Provide creative guidance and vision across projects, ensuring artistic cohesion and cutting‑edge execution.
• Utilize Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Webflow, Framer etc to design and develop high‑impact digital assets, web experiences, and branding systems.
• Leverage basic HTML/CSS knowledge to enhance designs and collaborate effectively with developers and/or develop directly.
• Work closely with Supernova’s content and production teams to bring bold ideas to life.
• Stay ahead of design and tech trends to ensure Supernova’s work is fresh, modern, and impactful.

• Experienced in web design, branding, and visuals, with bonus points for art direction and motion graphics expertise.

• You move fast and can work independently, you are already using the latest tools in creative tooling and AI.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Mastery of Figma, Adobe Suite, and Webflow
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for effective collaboration with developers — ideally you can develop yourself

• Strong artistic sensibility and an eye for detail
• Experience with motion graphics or 3D design is a plus

This is a 3‑month, full‑time internship with the potential to convert to full‑time employment in the Spring. The role is based in our office in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY at 185 Wythe Ave.
