Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. What you’ll do:

• Own the integration of the turboshaft into the aircraft
• Manage mechanical interfaces
• Oversee smooth operation of the turboshaft with its interfaces
• Oversee correct operation of the turboshaft in its operating environment
• Manage fuel, oil, exhaust, thermal and all other systems integrations
• Define pass criteria and testing conditions for performance verification
• Optimize installation for mass, performance, maintainability and safety

What you’ll need:

• BS / MS / PhD in a related scientific or engineering field.
• 8+ years experience in complex systems integration
• Strong fundamentals and demonstrated understanding of complex system integration
• Experience with Siemens NX and suite of tools
• A systematic approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate complex, technical rationale to multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Extremely self‑motived with the ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports and documents.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Turboshaft system integration
• Experience with turbogenerator design principles
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink for control logic and numerical propulsion system simulation and performance modelling
• Experience with computational fluid dynamics and analysis
• Prior experience with hybrid‑electric aircraft, eVTOLs, or hybrid automotive powertrains.
• Familiarity with FAA or EASA certification
• Knowledge of simulation model validation, model calibration, and uncertainty quantification methods.

Actual compensation offered will be determined by job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
