The role sits in Dallas with travel to Grapeland and requires an active PE license, ABET‑accredited Civil Engineering degree, and 4+ years of steel construction experience; salary is 120–145K.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited).
• Minimum 4 years of structural engineering experience in steel construction.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design open web steel joists for a variety of commercial and industrial projects
• Review structural drawings, architectural drawings, and project specifications
• Prepare and review joist design calculations, including sealed calculations when required
• Provide technical guidance to detailers, sales teams, shop personnel, and production teams
• Communicate with internal teams, customers, and design professionals throughout project lifecycles
• Participate in plant immersion, training, and collaborative design reviews in Grapeland
• Support product promotion efforts with specifiers and at industry conventions
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards and manufacturing requirements
