Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a seasoned engineer to meet with customers, define security requirements, and evaluate technologies for secure, scalable cyber-physical systems. You will document standards, work with installation teams, and serve as a SME on system performance and sustainment.

Candidates should have a BS in Electrical or Systems Engineering with 5+ years of hands-on system design and deployment experience, and be prepared to work at customer sites as required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying different systems.
• System administration experience, triage, problem resolution, and deployment of workstations.

Responsibilities

• Meet with the customer to understand security needs and develop requirements and test plans.
• Identify candidate technologies and evaluate them against defined requirements.
• Become an expert on the system and explain how it enables the solution and its limitations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address privacy, network security, and scalability concerns.
• Write high-quality documentation for system standards and operations.
• Work with installation and administration teams to field the solutions.
• Continuously re-evaluate systems and assess how new tech affects solutions.
• Serve as SME on engineering needs and recommend improvements.

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on engineering needs and requirements for system performance, installations, and sustainment programs and provide recommended improvements per industry best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (BS) such as Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• Hands on experience designing and deploying different systems
• System administration experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensions
• Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
