Description

Sound Specialists is looking for a Design Engineer responsible for creating pre sales and post sales documentations for the coordination and installation for residential and commercial automation systems. This person will be detail oriented, and have a good understanding of a/v products, low-voltage sub-systems, wiring requirements, signal flow, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and develop system proposals for high-end electronics integration projects
• Draw, update, and maintain commercial and residential designs
• Maintain accurate equipment information, create change orders, track changes and update system documentation
• Provide support to field technicians in solving technical problems relating to the system design
• Perform technical research, evaluation and support of relevant products, equipment, technologies and methodologies
• Maintains library of technical information and other related data pertaining to codes and standards.

Requirements

• Post high-school degree, preferably in sound engineering or a related technical field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with high-end integrated electronic systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, and AutoCAD
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective communicator
• Strong understanding of a/v products, low-voltage sub-systems, wiring requirements, signal flow, and control systems.
