Parker Hannifin is seeking a Design Engineer intern at its Greensboro, NC location to assist with location engineering activities that support process improvement for the Hydraulic & Aerospace Filtration Division (HAFD).

You will work with engineering on new designs, prototyping, testing, and documentation, gaining real-world skills through mentorship and training. This summer internship offers 30–40 hours per week and exposure to Lean methodologies.

Formación

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Able to work 30–40 hours per week in the summer.
• MS Office; CAD (SolidWorks) experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.
• Understanding of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement.
• Blueprint reading and technical report writing.
• Able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in creating new designs to meet customer/market needs.
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve and maintain existing products.
• Perform product prototyping and laboratory testing.
• Create/Review product designs for manufacturability considering capabilities and performance.
• Assist with design drawing changes and updates.
• Complete CAD model/drawing generation and changes.
• Conduct analyses and document tests on new and existing designs.
• Create assembly & detail prints for proposals and production.
• Support writing technical documents and correspondence to customers.
