Job summary

Constellium Van Buren is seeking an Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in aluminum extrusion profile design and support the Product Development process. Interns will work with CAD to create and update drawings, assist engineers with changes, and collaborate with sub-suppliers to transfer data while contributing to crash safety testing initiatives. Reports to the Sr.

Technical Manager and is mentored by Sr. Design Engineers.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Materials Engineering major required.
• Strong organization and communication skills required.
• Must be computer literate and have experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

Responsibilities

• 3D CAD and drawings
• Support of Manufacturing plant such as with Engineering changes
• Support of Sub-suppliers such as data transfer
• Support internal crash safety testing and development
• Utilize problem solving techniques to identify the root cause and develop countermeasures when targets for critical metrics that are not met
• All other duties assigned by Supervisor and necessary to perform the job
