Job summary

CNH Industrial Group is seeking a Design Engineer in Racine, Wisconsin, with a focus on creating and developing innovative product designs that meet safety, quality, and performance standards. You will produce drawings and 3D models, collaborate with multiple teams, and drive design verification through analyses.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 3–5 years of design experience, with the opportunity to contribute to CAD-driven innovation in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in product or mechanical design.
• Experience with design analysis and tolerance considerations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed product designs with specifications, drawings, and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to ensure designs meet function, cost, quality, and manufacturability.
• Perform design calculations, simulations, and stress analysis to verify performance and safety.
• Conduct design reviews and refine based on stakeholder feedback for production readiness.
• Prepare technical documentation including design specs, manuals, and reports.
• Stay updated on industry trends to improve design processes and offerings.

Job Purpose

The Design Engineer is responsible for creating and developing innovative product designs, ensuring that they meet both functional and aesthetic requirements while adhering to safety, quality, and performance standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting design analysis, and producing technical drawings and specifications for applicable workcenters.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and develop detailed product designs, including specifications, drawings, and 3D models, using design software (e.g., CAD, SolidWorks).
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product management teams to ensure designs meet requirements for functionality, cost, quality, and manufacturability.
• Perform design calculations, simulations, and stress analysis to verify the performance and safety of products.
• Conduct design reviews and refine product designs based on feedback from stakeholders, ensuring that designs are optimized for production and meet customer needs.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, manuals, and reports, to support product development and manufacturing processes.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and design techniques to continuously improve design processes and product offerings.

Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in product design or mechanical design engineering.

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $74,625.00 - $124,375.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
