ENTRUST Solutions Group in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Design Engineer I to support natural gas infrastructure projects within our Gas Programs team. You will work with senior engineers to develop safe, compliant designs and prepare comprehensive design packages.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Valid driver’s license; occasional travel to project sites.
• Experience using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Bluebeam is a plus.

Join our team as a Design Engineer I, where you will support natural gas infrastructure projects within our expanding Gas Programs team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of natural gas distribution design, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution across the project lifecycle.

As a Design Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our Gas Programs team, collaborating closely with senior engineers and gaining invaluable technical guidance on underground utility design. You’ll apply your expertise to ensure designs meet project specifications, and communicate effectively about scope, schedule, and quality challenges. You will also collaborate with designers and drafters to complete comprehensive design packages. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your engineering career and make a real impact!

This role is designated as hybrid in the Baltimore area, giving you the flexibility to work from home while staying actively connected to your team and projects. We value collaboration and responsiveness, so we ask our team members to be available when in‑office presence is needed – such as for client meetings, team events, training sessions, or field‑related project support.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Valid driver’s license required. Ability to travel occasionally to project sites and perform field work as needed
• Experience using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Bluebeam software is a plus.

• This position pays between $70,000 and $75,000 annually and is an exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full‑time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
