Job summary

Airbus Americas in Wichita, Kansas is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Repair Solutions department. You will support airline in-service fleet on repairs of aircraft structures, creating repair solutions from a design perspective.

Duties include design for metallic and non-metallic parts, collaboration with static stress and fatigue teams, and using Airbus tools to develop efficient repair solutions that meet airworthiness requirements for airlines and MROs.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with emphasis on structural design and mechanics of materials.
• 5+ years of design experience in airframe structures and/or system installation.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Perform design efforts for metallic and non-metallic parts.
• Collaborate with static stress and fatigue teams to provide repair solutions.
• Develop repair solutions using Airbus applications to satisfy airworthiness requirements and customers.
