Job summary

MicroMetl Corporation in Indianapolis, IN is seeking design engineers to join our Engineering team. This full-time role focuses on hands-on analysis and design for new or modified products, with a direct impact on manufacturing.

The successful candidate will perform full-cycle analytical studies, develop prototypes, create detailed drawings, coordinate prototype production, plan tests, and provide onsite technical support during implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or related engineering field.
• 4+ years of direct or related engineering experience or equivalent.
• Electrical background to support our product is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct full-cycle analytical studies to develop designs for new or modified products.
• Prepare or direct the preparation of prototype products or systems with detailed drawings/schematics.
• Direct the manufacturing of prototype products or systems and coordinate activities.
• Plan and develop experimental test programs for product validation.
• Provide onsite technical and installation support on implemented products and systems as required.

We are seeking Design Engineers to add to our Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN.

This role is a hands-on and directly impactful engineering position that conducts full-cycle analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop designs for new or modified products. In this role, the successful candidate will use their problem solving, troubleshooting, and project management skills interacting with employees on the production floor to discuss potential problems and design modifications. They will then prepare or direct preparation of prototype products or systems and layout with detailed drawings/schematics, direct and coordinate the manufacturing of prototype products or systems, plan and develop experimental test programs, and provide onsite technical and installation assistance on implemented products and systems, as required.

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or related engineering field. They will also possess four or more years of direct or related experience, or combination of continued education and direct/related work experience, along with an electrical background to support our product.

Knowledge of SolidWorks is preferred, or similar parametric modeling software like NX, Autodesk Inventor, and Catia is a plus.
