We're hiring our first Design Engineer to own how Stuut looks, feels, and works — from first sketch to production code. Reporting to the Head of Product & Design, you'll work alongside our engineers and Product Manager across every surface finance teams touch. Stuut's design problem is a systems problem. AI agents act on behalf of AR teams — sending outreach, triaging disputes, answering questions in Ask Stuut. Finance teams configure how those agents behave through Playbooks, Payment Plans, and approval rules. And collectors spend all day in dense, data-heavy worklists of invoices, customers, and cash. Your job is to make all of it legible: agents a controller can trust with their cash, thousands of invoices that scan in seconds, and configuration that is powerful without being intimidating. Engineers at Stuut own features end to end and have historically pulled design in when they need it. This role closes that gap. You'll design and ship the work yourself, and raise the bar for everyone else's UI through shared patterns and components.
Within 12 months, Stuut's core surfaces — agent activity, collections worklists, Ask Stuut, and configuration — share one coherent component system and interaction model. Engineers ship new UI from those patterns without waiting on design, and customers can see what Stuut's agents did, why, and what needs their approval.
There's no required background. We care about shipped work and judgment.
You've designed AI agent or copilot experiences — human-in-the-loop approvals, explainability, or conversational analytics.
