Job summary

Astura Medical seeks a Design Engineer to model complex parts using SolidWorks and develop manufacturing drawings per ASME Y14.5. You will perform GD&T tolerance analysis and collaborate with manufacturing to ensure parts are producible.

The role requires 1–3 years in product design, a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, and authorization to work in the United States. On-site work in Irving, TX, with no remote option.

  • Manufacturing Drawings: creating manufacturing drawings per ASME Y14.5.
  • Tolerance Analysis (GD&T): performing tolerance analysis on all interfacing devices.
  • Design for Manufacturability: work with manufacturing personnel to ensure parts can be efficiently manufactured.

We're centrally located in Irving, TX, near the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, and we offer a collaborative work environment with casual dress and work-life balance. This position reports to the office 5 days per week and we do not have remote or hybrid opportunities. Only local candidates will be considered as we do not offer relocation assistance.

Astura's Design Engineer will serve as a design resource during the development process. The primary goal of the Design Engineer is to use established requirements to design devices using CAD software.

Job Responsibilities
