The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects for private- and public-sector clients in an interdisciplinary environment with civil engineers, planners, surveyors, landscape architects, and CAD drafters.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering
• 0–3 years civil engineering experience
• EIT certification or pursuit within a year preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Work on tasks within a diverse, multi-disciplinary design team.
• Design and prepare engineering documents for sediment erosion control, storm drain design and computations, water and sewer design, grade establishment plans, maintenance of traffic plans, and right-of-way improvement plans.
• Coordinate efforts with clients, agencies, consultants, and VIKA staff

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following technical and practical abilities to effectively thrive in this position:

• BS degree in Civil Engineering
• 0-3 years’ experience in Civil Engineering
• Licensed Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or working towards it within the next year preferred
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Responsibilities

This position will require carrying out the following assignments and roles within an interdisciplinary environment:
