Job summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Design Drafter / Engineer, you will support the design and development of tooling used to produce metal stampings. This role bridges engineering and production-translating customer designs into functional tooling, programs, and processes that can be built and run efficiently on the shop floor.

  • Create and maintain tooling designs using CAD software (primarily SolidWorks)
  • Develop detailed drawings for new tooling and tool modifications
  • Support the transition and standardization of design systems and software

SPECIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent hands-on experience with CAD/CAM or CNC programming considered
  • Experience in manufacturing or tooling environments is a plus
Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (required)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or CAM software (such as CAMWorks) preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and customer drawings
  • Understanding of CNC machining and tooling concepts is a plus
