Job summary

Ethan Allen is seeking a Design Consultant to work with customers on interior design solutions and to sell premium Ethan Allen products. The role emphasizes space planning, fabric coordination, and project design, with a compensation plan based on incentives and sales performance.

You will meet monthly sales benchmarks, participate in marketing activities, and leverage design tools to present concepts and close sales.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a design-related field.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
• Working knowledge of online sales and design tools.
• Excellent listening and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions consistent with customer preferences and budget.
• Sell Ethan Allen’s products and services.
• Represent the Ethan Allen brand in all customer interactions and schedule home consultations.
• Utilize grassroots marketing and social media to grow the business.
• Educate customers on complimentary design services offered.
• Stay current on design trends to craft fashionable solutions.
• Coordinate with the team to provide exceptional service before and after sale.
• Enter orders using the retail point of sale system.
