In this client-facing role, you will work with clients, sales teams, and stakeholders to develop furniture and space planning solutions balancing aesthetics, function, and budget.

You will educate clients on industry trends, guide design decisions, and deliver thoughtful solutions that help achieve unique space

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in commercial interiors, contract furniture, or workplace design preferred.
• Familiar with furniture solutions, finishes, ergonomics, and space planning.
• Proficient with CAD and office/presentation software; strong documentation skills.
• Ability to create accurate furniture specifications and layouts with detail.

Responsibilities

To create inspiring, functional environments for education, public sector, and commercial clients throughout Northern and Central California. In this client-facing role, you will collaborate with clients, sales teams, and project stakeholders to develop innovative furniture and space planning solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, budget, and project goals. As a trusted advisor, you'll guide clients through design decisions, educate them on industry trends and best practices, and deliver thoughtful solutions that help them make informed choices while achieving their unique space objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience in commercial interiors, contract furniture, workplace design, or a related industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of workplace trends, commercial furniture solutions, furnishings, finishes, ergonomics, and space planning principles.
• Proficiency with design and business software, including but not limited to CET, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, presentation tools, and furniture specification platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to create accurate furniture specifications, layouts, measurements, and project documentation with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong customer service, consulting, and presentation skills, with the ability to guide clients through design decisions and communicate solutions effectively.
• Understanding of the project lifecycle from concept through installation, including budgeting, specifications, and project coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams, clients, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
• Positive, professional demeanor with a commitment to building strong client relationships.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to conduct client site visits as required.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly pay: $28.00 - $48.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
