Job summary

Buildoly in Los Angeles designs and builds ADU models with standardized pricing, handling design, permitting, procurement and construction under one roof. The Design & Construction Coordinator (ADU) is a full-time role based in Los Angeles, splitting time between our office and active job sites across LA, Orange County, and the Inland Empire.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience reading architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Proficiency with Revit and ability to review related drawings.
• CA driver's license with reliable vehicle; travel across Southern California.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawing revisions and supplemental sketches in Revit under the Lead Architect's direction.
• Prepare RFI responses and construction clarifications for the Lead Architect's review.
• Redline field conditions and convert them into clean documents.
• Review specialty subcontractor drawings against Buildoly standards and flag discrepancies.
• Visit active sites to document progress with photos and reports.
• Conduct QA/QC walks; ensure construction matches drawings and flag conflicts.
• Build punch lists and track corrective items to completion.
• Record site observations and distribute meeting notes and action items.
• Track milestones, open items, and documentation in PM system; report weekly.
• Schedule site visits, inspections, and utility meetings; coordinate facilities and permitting.
• Route communication between design, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors; support homeowner change orders.

Role Description & Responsibilities

The Design & Construction Coordinator (ADU) is a full-time role based in Los Angeles, splitting time between our office and active job sites across LA, Orange County, and the Inland Empire.

Drawings and design support

• Produce drawing revisions and supplemental sketches in Revit under the Lead Architect's direction
• Prepare RFI responses and construction clarifications for the Lead Architect's review
• Redline field conditions and turn them into clean documents
• Review specialty subcontractor drawings — fire sprinkler, solar, MEP — against Buildoly standards and flag discrepancies

Field support and QA/QC

• Visit active sites to document progress with photos and written reports
• Run routine QA/QC walks; verify construction matches approved drawings and flag conflicts to the Lead Architect and Superintendent
• Build punch lists and track corrective items to completion
• Record site observations and distribute meeting notes and action items

Project coordination

• Track milestones, open items, and documentation in Buildoly's project management system; report status in weekly internal meetings
• Schedule site visits, inspections, and utility meetings; coordinate temporary site facilities and construction-phase permitting
• Route communication between design, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors, and support the Superintendent on homeowner requests and change order requests

Qualifications

• 1+ years working in Revit
• Ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
• Organized and reliable with documentation
• Valid CA driver's license and reliable vehicle; daily travel across Southern California
• Comfortable moving between the job site and the desk. This role is genuinely both.

Nice to have

• Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field
• Familiarity with CA residential permitting
• Bluebeam or AutoCAD

Compensation and benefits

$65,000–$75,000 base, driving reimbursement, PTO.
