Job summary

Horrocks in Denver seeks a Design-Build Roadway Lead/Manager to guide transportation projects with a focus on innovative pursuit and delivery. Responsibilities include leading roadway design teams, coordinating with disciplines, and delivering on schedule with clients.

You should have a PE license and 10+ years in transportation design, plus 5+ years leading roadway projects and 3+ years of DOT DB/PDB experience.

Qualifications

• Current PE license, preferred states UT, NV, AZ, ID, CO, NM, WA.
• 10+ years of experience in transportation infrastructure design.
• 5+ years of leading roadway design for infrastructure projects.
• 3+ years of DOT DB or PDB experience.
• Ability to lead as a team leader and maintain client relationships.
• Outstanding client and personnel skills with strong communication.
• Organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway discipline engineering teams for Transportation DB and/or PDB pursuits and projects.
• Coordinate with other discipline leads.
• Integral member of the project management and delivery team.
• Lead roadway design, analysis, studies, reports, plans, specifications, and quantity tasks.
• Knowledge and experience with Microstation OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software.
• Work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients.
• Ability and commitment to be assigned to local and Rocky Mountain Region wide projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management.
• Proven history of meeting project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead roadway discipline engineering teams for Transportation (freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural highways, and shared use facilities) DB and/or PDB pursuits and projects
• Coordinate with other discipline leads
• Integral member of the project management and delivery team
• Lead roadway design, analysis, studies, reports, plans, specifications, and quantity tasks.
• Knowledge and experience with Microstation OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering
• Work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients
• Ability and commitment to be assigned to local and Rocky Mountain Region wide projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management
• Proven history of meeting project deadlines
• A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goals

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
