Job summary

Gentex Corporation is seeking a Design Assurance Engineer to support product development with quality and test expertise. You will design, document, and implement test plans, lead test activities, and coordinate inspections to verify key product characteristics.

The role requires close collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. You will develop test equipment, train lab/QC personnel, and contribute to readiness reviews while

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or 4+ years in QA, QA engineering, test verification, or systems engineering.
• AS degree with 3–5 years equivalent experience considered.
• CQE certification would be a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and implement test plans for development programs per customer and internal specs.
• Lead test activities and manage test plans/procedures as test manager/test engineer.
• Provide training to test lab or QC personnel on new equipment.
• Coordinate inspection/test requests for developmental items and ensure first article inspections for production hardware.
• Serve as liaison between Engineering and Quality; ensure alignment with design and quality requirements.
• Create standardized test data and analysis reports for internal and external customers.
• Support SRR and requirements matrix development.
