Job summary

National Able Network is seeking a full-time Career Coach in Des Moines, IA to support job seekers by assessing barriers, delivering training, and connecting to employment opportunities. You will manage a caseload, develop IEPs, coordinate with partners, and maintain thorough documentation.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external agencies, conduct outreach, participate in job fairs, and help clients achieve sustainable employment through individualized plans and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Fully familiarized with the job readiness curriculum and ensure successful completion of job readiness training.
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload and extensive paperwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with employment database software and documenting client activities.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and maintains a caseload of registrants; tracks progress and documents interactions.
• Develops an Individual Employment Plan (IEP) and updates it as needed.
• Identify supportive services and refer clients to appropriate resources.
• Researchs employers and updates internal job boards; participate in job fairs.
• Prepare accurate case notes and data for government and internal reporting systems.
• Manage partnerships with training providers and process enrollment documents.
• Coordinate with internal and external staff to ensure benefits and services flow.
• Conduct post-placement follow-up and retention activities.
• Attend workshops to improve service delivery and outcomes.
• Engage in outreach and recruitment at job/resource fairs and events.
• Identify companies with openings and refer candidates to job opportunities.
