MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for Long Term Acute Care in Des Moines, Iowa. Assignment runs 13 weeks at 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts. Travel employment and LTAC RN experience preferred; active RN license required.

Responsibilities include caring for 5-6 patients, managing meds, and monitoring telemetry; benefits include housing options, health coverage, and travel reimbursement through MedPro.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS certifications
• Eighteen months of recent LTAC experience
• Experience with vents, trachs, drips, ET tubes and able to read tele-strips
• Other requirements to be determined by client facility

Responsabilités

• Provide care for 5-6 patients.
• Monitor and administer medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV).
• Educate patients and family on surgical processes and illness/injury management.
• Monitor telemetry readings and notify the medical team of irregularities.
• Start IVs and draw blood.
• Care for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, A-Fib.
