Job summary

Summit Health in New Jersey is looking for an experienced AP/CP Board Certified Dermatopathologist to join a busy multi-subspecialty practice group. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, preferably in general surgical pathology, and possess excellent communication skills.

The position offers opportunities for collaboration with established pathologists and involves responsibilities such as signing out dermatopathology cases, providing expert diagnostic services, and contributing to laboratory quality assurance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sign-out of dermatopathology cases focusing on skin biopsy diagnostics.
• Interpretation of skin biopsies, excisions, and complex consultation cases.
• Contribute to the tumor board for relevant clinical cases.

We are currently seeking an experienced AP/CP Board Certified Dermatopathologist t to join busy multi-subspecialty practice group. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a minimum of 5+ years of experience. A preference of general surgical pathology experience preferred but not required.

• Join 11 other established Pathologists to provide a wide range of care
• We have on-site ancillaries including laboratory, radiology, and an infusion center
• State of the art 50,000 sq ft centralized laboratory with pathology, cytology, immunohistochemistry and now digital lab supporting advanced diagnostics

Requirements

• NJ and NY State Medical License required
• BE/BC in Dermatopathologist
• Minimum 4+ experience predominantly dermatopathology sign out
• Computer skills to facilitate digital pathology sign out

Responsibilities

• Clinical Service Responsibilities:
  • Sign-out of dermatopathology cases with a focus on high-volume skin biopsy diagnostic
  • Provide expert dermatopathology diagnostic services, including interpretation of skin biopsies, excisions, and complex consultation case using digital pathology platform
  • Serve as a consultant for challenging dermatopathology cases, including inflammatory dermatoses, cutaneous neoplasms, and adnexal disorders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely case sign-out in compliance with CAP/CLIA/NYS standards.
  • Contribute to laboratory quality assurance and protocol development for skin pathology as needed
  • Contribute to tumor board for relevant clinical cases

Compensation Range

$300,000-350,000
