Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists in Buzzards Bay, MA seeks a Dermatology Specialty Veterinary Technician to work closely with our Dermatologist. You will handle anesthesia, assist with complex dermatology cases, and provide compassionate patient care across in-patient and out-patient settings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a veterinary technician.
• CVT/RVT/LVT preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong anesthesia knowledge and skills.
• Dermatology experience is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with specialty procedures and diagnostics in dermatology.
• Provide anesthesia support and monitor patients during procedures.
• Set up, monitor, and recover patients for sedation and anesthesia.
• Track trends, anticipate needs, and communicate changes clearly.
• Deliver advanced nursing and dermatology case support.
• Care for hospitalized and outpatient patients; support long-term plans.
• Process laboratory samples and manage dermatology-specific diagnostics.
• Collaborate with doctors, technicians, and client service for smooth care.
• Educate and support clients through chronic conditions; refer as needed.
