Job summary

Altru Health in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Dermatology Technician I to support the dermatologist during procedures and general clinic practice. The role includes collecting specimens and patient data, and performing related duties in a Mohs and dermatology setting.

Certification as a Nurse Aide and BLS are required within specified timeframes. English proficiency is essential for effective communication with patients and team members.

Qualifications

Everything we do is underscored by a why - and that why is one another.Location:Truyu Aesthetic Center 3165 Demers Ave Grand Forks, ND 58201Pay Range: $17.92 - $26.88Summary: The Dermatology Technician I provides support to the Dermatologist and Dermatology Nurse Practitioner during procedures and general clinic practice. This position obtains lab specimens per physician order including urine specimens.

Essential Job Functions:

• Collects data which includes: patient's vital signs, portions of the record, and information from the patient and/or family on the patient's individual and educational needs.
• Assists physician and licensed nursing staff with dermatology and Mohs procedures room setup, turnover, ordering supplies, etc.
• Completes all documentation according to standard operating procedure as delegated by the provider.
• Assists with involving the patient, family or caregiver into the implementation of the plan of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

Certification:

• Nurse Aide | North Dakota Board of Health | Within 4 Months of Start Date | HR Primary Sources
• Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Within 90 days of Start Date | Learning Management System

Language Requirements: This position requires proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace and with patients, families, and team members.
