Olmsted Medical Center in Rochester, MN, is seeking a part-time Clinical Assistant for Dermatology/Plastic Surgery. This 0.8 FTE day shift on-site role will float between both specialties as needed, with starting pay between $20.40 and $29.98 per hour based on experience.

You will greet patients, assist with examinations, document in the EHR, take vitals, and help with rooming, insurance setup, and referrals.

Formación

• Prior computer experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• General knowledge of Accounts Receivable.
• Vital sign measurement (training available).
• CNA experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Provides patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Greets patients, caregivers, and visitors to the department in a professional and friendly manner.
• Completes basic rooming standards per departmental guidelines such as obtaining height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure.
• Ensures accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Prepares patients for examination and procedures.
• Helps clinician or clinical support staff during patient exams or minor procedures.
• Cleans and restocks exam rooms.
• Registers patients, sets up insurance, and verifies demographics each time a patient arrives at the clinic.
• Assists with processing patient paperwork, forms, and referrals.
• May schedule and verify patient appointments.
• Attends education and training seminars.
• Maintains a safe work environment and complies with standards for safe practice and standard precautions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Conocimientos

Prior computer experience

Knowledge of medical terminology
