Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Department of Dermatology is seeking a Physician Assistant to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team at the Johns Hopkins Dermatology Clinic in Howard County. Will assess patients, establish plans for evaluation and management, and provide therapeutic care under a physician's direction.

A minimum of one year of experience as a Dermatology PA is required. The role includes duties such as biopsies, injections, and coordinating care with other departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• NCCPA certification or equivalent.
• Completion of a CAAHEP-certified Physician Assistant program.
• Maryland PA license or eligibility to practice.
• Minimum of 1 year Dermatology PA experience.
• Experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree per JHU policy.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and compile medical histories.
• Perform physical examinations noting normal/abnormal findings.
• Obtain specimens and run routine labs.
• Order non-routine tests as required.
• Develop care/treatment plans per protocols.
• Coordinate with supervisory physicians and other professionals.
• Perform procedures like biopsies, injections, and excisions as needed.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance.
