Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of Optum, is seeking a dermatologist to join its growing dermatology team in the Houston area. You will provide patient-centered care across adult and pediatric populations and collaborate with other specialists to deliver coordinated care.

With more than 900 providers across 65 specialties, the clinic offers advanced therapies, a strong learning culture, and opportunities to participate in tumor boards and journal clubs as part of a national health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved training program in the United States.
• Licensed in the State of Texas.
• Board Certified and/or Board Eligible.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage dermatology conditions across adults and children.
• Collaborate with General Surgery, ENT, Oncology and other specialists for coordinated care.
• Participate in tumor boards and journal clubs to stay current with advances.
• Educate patients on treatment options and preventive skin health.

Kelsey-Seybold dermatologists see a wide range of patients including adult and pediatric. They diagnose, treat, and manage all types of medical dermatology conditions including (but not limited to) acne, eczema, psoriasis, bullous diseases, and skin cancers.
The Kelsey-Seybold Dermatology team is growing. Currently, 19 providers see patients at 11 Kelsey-Seybold locations in the greater Houston area. Of the 19 providers, two are dermatopathologists and one is a Mohs surgeon.

Kelsey-Seybold dermatologists offer many additional services for patients including phototherapy (nbUVB, PUVA, excimer), extended patch testing, and select cosmetic services. Kelsey-Seybold dermatologists collaborate extensively with other Kelsey specialists including General Surgery, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Hematology/Oncology, Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, and Radiation Oncology.

Kelsey-Seybold dermatologists are invited to participate in a monthly tumor board as well as journal club that meets quarterly.
