Qualifications

• Requires Illinois LPN licensure and ability to practice in a physician office.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Strong documentation and charting skills.

Responsibilities

• Gathers data by physical assessment for physician review and documents in EMR.
• Reports problems based on assessment to the physician.
• Suggests nursing actions to prevent or address health problems with the physician.
• Performs basic nursing care under supervision and documents in EMR.
• Shares progress observations with the physician.
• Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment directions.
• Charts notes with name, title, date, time; provider signs off.
• Assigns ICD-10 codes on charge sheets and monitors CPT coding.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
