Job summary

The MedServ Group is seeking a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner on a part-time basis to deliver high-quality care to residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities. You will conduct exams, record histories, and develop care plans with physicians on call.

Selected candidates will have Dermatology specialization, NP licensure, and BCLS/ACLS with DEA; compensation ranges per patient or hourly and malpractice coverage is provided. Typical hours are 9 AM to 5 PM with 20–25 patients per visit.

Qualifications

• Must hold an NP license and be licensed to practice.
• Dermatology experience in clinic, hospital, or nursing home.
• BCLS or ACLS certification required.
• DEA registration required.
• Experience using diagnostic techniques relevant to dermatology.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and patient observations.
• Record medical histories and symptoms.
• Create and update patient care plans.
• Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests.
• Monitor and operate medical equipment as needed.
• Diagnose health issues with physician on call.
• Administer medications and treatments.

Dermatology Nurse Practitioner- Part Time

Compensation: $35.00 – $40.00 per patient or $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities

• Performing physical exams and patient observations.
• Recording patients' medical histories and symptoms.
• Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones.
• Ordering, administering, and analyzing diagnostic tests.
• Monitoring and operating medical equipment, as needed.
• Diagnosing health issues and sharing it with the physician on call.
• Administering medicine and other treatments.

Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Requirements

• CNP/Certified Nurse Practitioner License
• Graduate of a state registered Nurse Practitioner Program OR is certified as a Nurse Practitioner by a National Association.
• Dermatologist experience in a clinic, hospital, or nursing home.
• Either a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Nurse Practitioner (N.P.) specializing in Dermatology from an approved university.
• Experience using diagnostic techniques to identify diseases and implement appropriate treatments.
• Experience managing a diverse staff and client-base is essential.
• Ability to communicate important health information effectively and compassionately.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with the elderly.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• DEA required.

General Information

• Compensation: $35.00 – $40.00 per patient or $60.00 - $65.00 per hour.
• 7-8 hours visiting patients plus paperwork.
• Schedule: typically, 9AM – 5PM.
• 20-25 patients per visit.
