Job summary

SKIN AND CANCER INSTITUTE in Fresno, CA is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our dermatology team. The NP will provide high-quality patient care, perform assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans for various skin conditions.

The role requires strong dermatology knowledge, excellent communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care. A California NP license and dermatology experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited NP program.
• Current NP license in California (or eligible).
• FNP or AGNP certification preferred; Dermatology certification desirable.
• Dermatology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough dermatological assessments and evaluations, including history taking and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, infections, and cancers.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
• Perform minor dermatological procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic treatments (e.g., Botox, fillers).
• Provide patient education on skin care, prevention, and treatment options.
• Collaborate with dermatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Stay current with dermatology advances and pursue CE and training.
• Participate in quality improvement and departmental activities.
