Advanced Dermatology, P.C. in Paramus, NJ is seeking an experienced MOHs Medical Assistant to join our practice on a part-time basis at our Paramus office. Must have MOHs experience, cosmetic assistant experience, and phlebotomy certification.

The Medical Assistant provides admin and clinical support, handles patient care tasks, and ensures efficient office operations with accuracy and compassion. Dermatology experience is strongly preferred and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Medical assistant certification (CMA / RMA) preferred.
• 1+ year of medical assistant experience (dermatology preferred).
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Friendly, compassionate demeanor with strong communication.
• Excellent time management and organization for patient flow.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Confidentiality of patient records.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for visit and assists during examinations.
• Verifies patient information and vital signs.
• Assists during examinations; prepares specimens and basic on-site labs.
• Enters vitals and orders into the EHR.
• Performs general office duties and insurance forms.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and returns calls by end of day.
• Other duties as assigned.
