Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an experienced Staff Registered Nurse: Ambulatory to deliver high-quality nursing care in an ambulatory setting. You will collaborate with physicians and support staff to plan and coordinate patient care in line with the Lahey Clinic Practice Model and Massachusetts Regulations.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, and execution of treatment plans while maintaining patient safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved/accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Acute care medical-surgical experience 5+ years strongly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe patient care with organized, coordinated delivery for assigned patients/families.
• Perform systematic patient and family assessment and record health data.
• Develop a culturally competent plan of care with problems, outcomes and prevention.
• Respect patient/family values; deliver age-appropriate care.
• Assess severity of patient/caller symptoms by telephone and adapt care accordingly.
• Deliver care including ADLs, transportation, treatments; monitor for acute changes; administer medications incl. blood products.
• Establish professional relationships with nurses, physicians and other staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Lead, educate and participate in regulatory compliance; maintain ACLS certification as required.
• Engage in lifelong learning and apply evidence-based practice to daily care.
• Maintain confidentiality and align with Lahey Clinic policies and customer service standards.
