QualDerm Partners in Sun City, AZ seeks a Dermatology Medical Assistant to support patient care in a dermatology and aesthetics focused practice. You will prep patients, assist physicians, handle basic labs, and maintain confidential records.

Ideal candidates have dermatology exposure, strong communication and proficiency with EHR systems, and a patient‑centered approach to care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience in a clinical setting, especially dermatology.
• Familiarity with dermatology terminology and procedures.
• Excellent communication and discretion with patient data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and history.
• Assist physician during exams and procedures with required instruments.
• Perform basic lab tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and scheduling.
• Educate patients on treatments, medications and skincare.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and organized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history
• Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are available
• Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
• Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times
• Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices
• Ensure the examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies
• May participate in supporting the clinic's social media presence, including gathering content, sharing clinic-approved updates, and assisting with community engagement efforts as directed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology and practices relevant to dermatology
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff effectively
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Basic proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and general office software
