Job summary

The Dermatology Center of Indiana is recruiting an experienced full time Medical Assistant to join our growing Dermatology and Medical Aesthetics group in Plainfield, IN.

The ideal candidate will prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, assist with procedures, coordinate tests and referrals, and maintain accurate patient charts while ensuring confidentiality and high-quality patient care. Dermatology experience and a licensed medical assistant or nursing degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience taking patient vitals and performing injections/immunizations.
• Excellent oral and written communication for patient and family interactions.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work in a team.
• Experience in dermatology setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and prepare procedure trays.
• Escort patients, take vital signs, review visit reason and medications.
• Assist physicians with procedures and minor surgeries.
• Prepare specimens and coordinate lab tests and results.
• Schedule tests, coordinate referrals, and communicate results.
• Handle pre-certifications and referrals with insurers.
• Maintain inventory and back office supplies.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of exam rooms and labs.
