Job summary

Dermatology Solutions Group LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support dermatology providers across Southeast locations. You will assist with patient care, document histories and vitals, prepare exam rooms, and support post-visit follow-up and medication requests.

The role requires knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA rules, and proficient EMR usage; travel to main and satellite offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical practice operations and patient care standards.
• Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and precautions.
• Ability to assist in common office procedures.
• Ability to take vital signs, if applicable.
• Ability to maintain clinical quality assurance.
• Ability to identify and solve issues.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and test results.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical providers with daily patient care and health management.
• Document patient history, chief complaint and vital signs during visits.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms, stock supplies, and maintain cleanliness.
• Handle pre-surgical documentation and obtain informed consents as required.
• Administer injections and assist with examinations as directed.
• Process referrals, tests and e-prescriptions per provider orders.
• Triages patient communications and responds promptly (same day/24 hrs).
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with Standards of Conduct.
