Advanced Dermatology, P.C. seeks a part-time Medical Assistant for our Bellmore location to support licensed providers with administrative and clinical tasks. The role emphasizes accurate patient information gathering, vital signs, and assisting during examinations.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and strong customer service skills, with bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Medical assistant certification (CMA/RMA) preferred.
• 1+ year in medical assisting; dermatology experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care processes.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient information, medical history, vital signs, and visit purpose.
• Assists during examinations; prepares specimens; basic on-site labs; sterilizes instruments; handles prescriptions.
• Enters patient data, medications, test results into EMA/EHR.
• Updates medical records and insurance reports.
• Performs general office duties (phones, dictation, forms).
• Schedules follow-up appointments and completes daily reporting tasks.
• Returns patient calls by end of day.
• Other duties as assigned.
