Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Medical Assistant to support dermatology physicians with patient rooming, history updating, and procedure assistance. Duties include scribing, medication management, and coordinating pathology samples.

The role requires 3 months to 3 years of dermatology experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Shift is 3 days weekly, Tue/Thu/Fri, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate patient records.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to manage patient volume up to 40 daily.
• Document patient histories including HPI and medications.
• Prepare and assist with dermatological procedures (biopsies, I&D, excisions).
• Administer local anesthesia and remove sutures as directed.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control practices.
• Process prescriptions and coordinate with laboratories.
