Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 5 years of supervised work experience.
• 5 years of medical assisting and office experience, with 2 years in specialty care.
• 5 years of Dermatology experience preferred.
• Skill in venipuncture preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document patient history and chief complaint.
• Prepare patient for examination and obtain necessary testing.
• Perform routine office testing including phlebotomy and others.
• Assist provider with procedures and documentation.
• Obtain patient specimens for diagnostic testing.
• Administer and document injections and medications.
