Job summary

WizeHire, Inc. is recruiting a full-time Certified Dermatology Medical Assistant for a dermatology practice in the Houston-Katy area. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a private practice and dermatology experience preferred, with strong patient care and EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking history, assisting in procedures, scribing in EMR, wound care, patient education, skincare discussions, and inventory management. Compensation is $16-$19 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of medical assistant experience in private practice.
• Proven track record of above-average customer service and patient care.
• Punctual, detail-oriented, open to feedback and growth.
• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Self-motivated with a learning mindset and willingness to provide examples of prior learning.
• Understanding of insurance/prescription processes including pre-authorizations and verification.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, obtaining chief complaints and history, assisting with procedures, and scribing/documenting in an EMR system.
• Assisting in suture removals, wound cultures, and basic wound care management.
• Providing explanations of treatment recommendations and follow-up plans to patients.
• Discussing and recommending skincare products and cosmetic procedures.
• Assisting with inventory management.
• Administering biologic injections and familiar with dermatology medications.
