Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
• Esthetic or cosmetology license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patient and verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
• Collects and processes blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens for testing in compliance with standards.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, or provider’s instructions to patients.
• Clean and sterilize medical instruments.
• Document patient visit and charges for billing.
• Contacts patients with lab results and path results.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures as needed.
