Job summary

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Bridge Year Medical Assistant to join our dermatology team. You will support patients and clinicians, help with intake, record medical histories, and assist with dermatology procedures in a fast-paced clinic.

Candidates should have strong customer service and computer skills, plus familiarity with medical terminology. Prior dermatology experience is preferred; a MA certificate or diploma is desirable, with the clinic offering

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to learn and understand medical terminology and vital signs.
• At least one year of Dermatology experience preferred.
• MA certificate of completion/diploma from medical vocational program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating skin conditions of patients.
• Assessing and updating medical history of patients.
• Keeping a record of patients’ dermatological symptoms.
• Analyzing information regarding the conditions of skin health.
• Informing patients about proper and available treatments.
• Conducting non-intrusive medical procedures.
• Educating patients about preventive skin care.
• Screening patients and employees daily upon entry.
