Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Dermatology to provide patient care and clinical support in Bethpage. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, administering SQ/IM injections, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary health team to optimize patient outcomes.

Minimum qualifications include an LPN license in NYS, completion of an LPN program, a High School diploma or GED, and strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an LPN program.
• Current New York State Licensed Practical Nurse license and registration.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Evaluate the health care of patients and families and respond to care rendered. Make appropriate referrals.
• Evaluate patients' clinical status and report findings to the supervising clinician and address patient issues following established communication hierarchy.
• Contribute to the growth and development of self, staff and students through education and mentorship.
• Ensure completion of patient care assignments in an organized and efficient manner; delegate tasks to team members within scope.
• Communicate with patients regarding their care using appropriate terminology and in a respectful manner.
