Job summary

Tryon Medical Partners is seeking a PRN Certified Medical Assistant to support the Dermatology team at South Park. Responsibilities include assisting physicians, performing clinical tasks, and handling clerical duties across clinical and administrative areas.

Key duties involve vital signs, injections, specimen collection, basic lab procedures, patient education, and coordinating appointments. Prior dermatology experience is preferred, with a requirement for MA certification and BLS постоян.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and completed an accredited Medical Assisting program (CAAHEP or ABHES).
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Maintain BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• Completion of Hepatitis B vaccine and influenza vaccination as required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam/procedure rooms and document vital signs and history.
• Assist physicians and PAs in exam rooms and with procedures.
• Administer injections and assist with minor surgeries.
• Manage patient calls, messages, and clarifications per physician guidance.
• Collect specimens and perform CLIA-waived tests under supervision.
• Initiate basic laboratory procedures following OSHA guidelines.
• Schedule appointments and referrals; follow up on orders.
• Maintain patient records and ensure EHR completeness.
• Support environmental and supply management in clinical areas.
