Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a field-based Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist in Deerfield, IL to educate customers, advance the clinical value proposition, and drive product adoption across dermatology accounts. Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• 3+ years selling pharma/biotech/medical devices (or relevant clinical experience) or 2+ years with Takeda.
• Dermatology experience/calling dermatologists preferred.
• Business/strategic planning skills; adaptability to market changes.
• Understanding of managed care landscape.
• Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication.
• Strong collaboration/team success.
• Reside within or near assigned geography.

Responsibilities

• Support account onboarding through education.
• Engage in clinical selling, delivering the clinical value proposition and advancing customers across a brand educational continuum.
• Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
• Coordinate and support clinical education opportunities/programs for HCPs (e.g., peer-to-peer education).
• Conduct account management in dermatology practices, clinics, outlets, and independent physician offices.
• Attain sales goals and objectives by delivering product volume and other key metrics in the assigned territory; execute brand strategy and tactics within assigned customer segments.
• Establish working relationships with HCP decision makers, support staff, and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
• Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information, approved materials, and medical reprints.
• Execute local marketing strategies to build customer engagement through relationship-building and education.
• Present complex clinical/business information to dermatologists and healthcare/professional/patient groups.
• Develop and implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states/treatments.
• Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
• Adhere to compliance policies, guidelines, and training; seek clarification when uncertain.
