Job summary

Mercy is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Dermatology Clinic team. You will work with providers and staff to deliver high-quality skin care and patient education in a fast-paced clinic setting.

The ideal candidate has an active LPN license, BLS, and is eager to support patients through exams, procedures, and post-care instructions. Prior dermatology or ambulatory care experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth and a strong team-based culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Current LPN license in the state of practice.
• Must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, health histories, and medication information.
• Perform patient assessments and notify provider of significant findings.
• Assist dermatology providers with examinations, biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy and other in-office procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedure care instructions.
• Administer medications, injections, and treatments within LPN scope.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the team.
• Educate patients regarding skin conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
