The Sheriff’s Office is currently recruiting for Deputy Sheriff Candidates.
The work environment of a Deputy Sheriff Candidate is divided between field work (serving civil process papers, transporting prisoners and citizens, returning prisoners from out of County/State and maintaining custody of prisoners in a small detention setting) and time spent in a courtroom providing prisoner and courtroom security.

Possession and maintenance at all times of a valid Class "C" (or equivalent) driver’s license from the applicant's state of residence.
All applicants who meet the minimum qualifications confirmed by OHR must take the written exam to be considered for hire. Based on the results of the written examination, applications will be rated, the highest rated applicants may be contacted for an interview.
