Qualifications

• Graduation from an ABA accredited school of law.
• Valid Indiana license to practice law.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and a large volume of work.
• Minimum of one year of experience in criminal litigation.
• Lead or co-counsel in two felony jury trials that went to verdict.

Responsibilities

• Represent indigent defendants in court appearances, including pretrial matters and sentencing.
• Maintain regular contact with clients and provide confidential, loyal advocacy.
• Perform high quality legal representation for felony or misdemeanor cases and related commitments.
• File appeals when errors are found affecting a fair trial.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure effective defense and compliance with policies.
