Job summary

Fairwinds Technologies is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support a high-visibility aircraft modernization program in Oklahoma City. You will serve as the principal deputy to the Program Manager, guiding systems engineering, avionics integration, software development, testing, cybersecurity, and logistics to meet contract objectives.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in aerospace/defense, 5+ years in program management or IPT leadership, and a strong track record in leading

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in aerospace or related engineering field.
Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of employment.
8+ years in aerospace/defense programs; 5+ years in PM or deputy PM roles.
Experience with avionics integration, aircraft modification, and mission systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day avionics modernization and aircraft integration.
Monitor cost, schedule, technical, quality, and contract objectives.
Coordinate across engineering, software, testing, logistics, and cybersecurity.
Lead cross-functional IPTs and interface with government customers and suppliers.
Present program status, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
Support PMRs, TIMs, IPT meetings, and executive reviews.
Oversee EVMS/IBR/CSDR related activities and risk management.
